A:Yes, you would just need a DVR that would support these cameras. R16DVR5-2T would be out best option. Also, they use RJ12 cables.

A:You must first connect the system to the internet and then you must open two ports inside the firewall settings of the router. You must open port 80 and 34567 for the phone to app to work.
