The REVO ULTRA NVR is powerful featuring state of the art H.265 Compression, up to 12 Megapixel Recording and 4K video output. The H.265 Cameras feature massive 2K Sensors, double the resolution of standard 1080p and are equipped with a built-in microphone for audio streaming and recording. The cameras are built for the outdoors capable of handling temperatures as hot as 140F and as cold as -40F. The “RUCD28-1” dome camera features a 2.8mm fixed lens for super wide field of view coverage. It also comes equipped with 18 IR LEDs that will illuminate the scene up to 75’ in total darkness. The “RUCB36-1A” Bullet Camera features IR anti reflection glass and a 3.6mm fixed lens for a wide field of view coverage. H.265 Compression
Compared with H. 264, the greatest strength of H. 265 is that it has a higher compression ratio, which can be discerned from its name. H.265 is also called HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding), and the primary use is to further reduce the design flow rate, in order to lower the cost of storage and transmission.

I first purchased the RU41B4E-1T System to see how the quality and bang for my buck was before purchasing a higher end system from Revo. First impressions were outstanding! Came with everything I needed to get the install done and the final results were above my expectations in terms of overall satisfaction. So then I purchased the RU162B8E-2T System to expand on and the results were mixed with this purchase. The NVR and cameras were excellent quality and felt professional. However, the data cable that comes with typical systems like this are indeed fake, misadvertised, and/or misleading. The Cat 5e cables are not double shielded nor are they up to UL standards. They lack the number of twists and are made of stranded Aluminum!! The quality of this cable could damage or possibly degrade the overall performance of the system. My best advice would be to buy bulk bare copper Cat 6 or higher cabling and install it for the cameras and networking. Especially if it is PoE cameras like my system. The NVR and cameras are solid and basically your money is paying for that equipment alone. Everything else is courtesy equipment that they give you to get your system started. Use the best quality products with the NVR and cameras and they should go a long way for your return investment.loved the most

I've watched news casts showing grainy images and wondered if that's the best that can be recorded. This new ultra system with PoE camera connection was super simple to install. Just run one provided cat5 cable per camera and that's it. If you have a drill, access to your attic, a ladder and basic skills, you can do it. Setup on my home network required I upgrade my internet service to provide at least 5 Mbps upload speed but after that has been great. The images are super, the night vision is incredible. I still have trouble setting up motion detection so there is some learning and trial and error. If you are thinking about a video security system really consider buying the best resolution you can afford. Luckily this Ultra system is also competitively priced against its lower resolution competition. I did upgrade my ever to 4 TB storage because these HD camera use a lot of storage space. I am very happy with this system and would recommend to anyone looking for this type of product. I look forward to seeing a couple HD camera options in the near future but these fixed focus camera are still great for just about any location and they are small and sleek looking which blend into the house mostly undetectable.loved the most
